Centenaries Celebrations!

2006/2007 marked 100 years of formal presence of the churches that now form Croydon Uniting Church in the area of Croydon.

In 1906 the Croydon Methodist Church began, with Croydon Presbyterian Church commencing in 1907.

2007 also marked the 30th birthday of the Uniting Church - formed from Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches - another significant anniversary!

So 2007 was a year for many celebrations!Pentecost weekend was a fitting time to celebrate such occasions…there was displays and a dinner on Saturday 26th, with worship, special morning tea and displays on Sunday 27th May. It was a fabulous weekend of celebration - including worship to praise God for his continuing presence in Croydon, lived out in the current Croydon Uniting Church, and in a church rich in heritage and continuing to make a difference in mission, witness and service…
